Christopher Eubanks took to Instagram on Monday to share the news of his retirement from tennis.

“If someone had told the young boy from Atlanta’s Southside all he would achieve, I wouldn’t have believed it,” Eubanks wrote. “Two-time ACC Player of the Year? No way! Quarter-finalist at Wimbledon? Not a chance! An Olympian? Incredible! I’ve traveled the globe, built amazing friendships, and chased my dream of professional tennis. Words can’t express my gratitude. Is this truly the end? Hard to say, but if it is, WHAT A JOURNEY!!!”

Eubanks made his professional debut in 2015 at the ATP 250 event held in his hometown of Atlanta. The 29-year-old celebrated his first tour-level victory in the same city just two years later, marking the beginning of an extraordinary journey culminating in 2023.

During that remarkable season, Eubanks reached the quarter-finals at the ATP Masters 1000 in Miami, claimed his solitary ATP Tour title on grass in Mallorca, and advanced to the quarter-finals once again at Wimbledon. His impressive performance propelled him to a career-best No. 29 in the PIF ATP Rankings.
