Former World No. 1 and three-time Grand Slam champion Angelique Kerber joyfully announces her pregnancy with baby number two!
The 37-year-old tennis star, who made her return to the sport following maternity leave at the Paris Olympics of last year, shared her wonderful news on Instagram.
Kerber, who welcomed her first daughter Liana on February 25, 2023, made her official tour comeback in 2024, winning an impressive ten matches. Her last appearance saw her reach the quarterfinals at the Olympics, where she faced off against the eventual gold medalist, Zheng Qinwen, in a nail-biting third-set tiebreak.
Throughout her stellar career, she spent an impressive 34 weeks ranked No. 1 and amassed a total of 14 WTA titles.
