Though Roger Federer has retired from the ATP Tour, the Swiss virtuoso’s graceful serve continues to capture attention and a sprinkle of friendly ribbing. Just the other day, Federer shared a video on Instagram featuring his signature serve, still exuding elegance on the court. But his longtime rival had a witty remark ready.

Enter Andy Murray.

Always up for a playful exchange, the Scottish star couldn’t resist leaving a humorous comment: “Had you disguised your toss a bit better, you might have been some player.”

Murray’s comment, laced with his trademark wit, evoked laughter and a host of reactions from fans. Having battled it out 25 times on the Tour, with Federer leading their head-to-head encounters, it’s evident that even post-retirement, the scoreboard of banter might just tilt in Murray’s favor.

In recent weeks, Federer has been quite the globe-trotter. The former No. 1 in the PIF ATP Rankings attended the Laver Cup—an event he co-founded—and later graced the Rolex Shanghai Masters, where he was seen cheering for Valentin Vacherot as he clinched the title.
