What’s your favorite ATP Tour tournament and why?
Without a doubt, Tokyo. It’s the best city on the planet, and the food is to die for. The venues are impeccable, the people are wonderful, and the accommodations are top-notch. Visiting Asia for the first time last year was an unforgettable experience.

Which tennis rivalry do you admire the most?
The rivalry between Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer is my all-time favorite. I vividly remember watching the epic 2019 Wimbledon final while I was sidelined with a broken ankle. I was glued to the couch, captivated by every moment of that incredible duel.

Who do you consider your fiercest rival?
While I’ve enjoyed matches against players I tend to win against, I haven’t faced the same opponent more than a few times. I’d say Learner Tien. We’ve had some good battles in juniors and have developed a friendly rivalry—playing against him is always a great experience.

What’s been the most standout moment in your career so far?
Breaking into the Top 100. Winning the Challenger in Knoxville made me feel euphoric. I never imagined I’d be a professional tennis player, and seeing myself ranked No. 99 was surreal. Winning my first major title in Estoril on clay was a monumental occasion in my career.

What’s your ultimate goal at the moment?
Winning an ATP Tour title is at the top of my list. After experiencing loss in three finals, I can’t wait to capture that first title—it would be a dream come true.

How thrilling is the pursuit of victory?
It’s an exhilarating experience, for sure. Each week feels like a new opportunity to say, ‘Maybe this is the week!’

Have you had any unique experiences thanks to your tennis career?
Absolutely! I had the chance to meet Russell Westbrook at a Clippers game in 2024 and caught another Clippers game last year while Steph Curry was in attendance. Those experiences are among the coolest highlights of my life as a tennis player.
