LONDON — Taylor Fritz, impeccably dressed, stole the spotlight at Wimbledon on Thursday, defeating fellow American Patrick Kypson 6-2, 6-2, 7-5, securing his place in the third round as Princess Kate made her appearance at the All England Club.

Fritz turned heads in a stylish white blazer paired with NBA-inspired warmup pants as he walked onto No. 2 Court. His performance was equally impressive, delivering 19 aces and clinching victory without needing a fourth set.

The sixth-seeded star, who reached the semifinals last year, celebrated passionately with a fist pump after breaking Kypson to convert his fourth match point.

“I’m really pleased to have secured the break, avoiding a tiebreaker and a fourth set—just getting it done in three,” Fritz remarked in an on-court interview.

Fritz triumphed in his opening match as well, winning in straight sets while sporting a similar outfit featuring tear-away warmup pants.

“I’m usually a bit more understated, so this whole outfit is definitely a change for me,” the 28-year-old Californian shared.

“In the first round, I actually struggled to get them off. I watched a video of Frances (Tiafoe) the other day just ripping them off effortlessly. I tried to channel that energy today,” he added with a laugh.

In another match, fifth-seeded Alex de Minaur also moved on without dropping a set, defeating Adrian Mannarino 6-3, 6-2, 6-2.
