In an exciting matchup, Ottawa’s Gabriela Dabrowski and Brazil’s Luisa Stefani triumphed in the French Open women’s doubles tournament, moving on to the third round with a score of 6-3, 3-6, 6-2 against China’s Qianhui Tang and Russia’s Elena Pridankina on Friday.

The fourth-seeded pair showcased their powerful serving, delivering five aces while winning an impressive 67 percent of their service points during the match.

Remarkably, Dabrowski and Stefani did not commit any double faults and only faced two break points, successfully saving one.

The dynamic duo converted three break opportunities, including a crucial one in the final game to seal their victory.

Next up, Dabrowski and Stefani will take on the winner of the clash between Czechia’s Anastasia Detiuc and Russia’s Irina Khromacheva, and Norway’s Ulrikke Eikeri paired with Quinn Gleason from the USA.

Notably, Dabrowski and Stefani faced Eikeri and Gleason in the final of the Strasbourg International earlier this month, where they emerged victorious.
