Victoria Mboko is just one victory away from clinching her third WTA Tour title.
The talented Canadian secured her spot in the Strasbourg International final with a thrilling 7-6 (3), 3-6, 6-2 triumph over Romania’s Jaqueline Cristian on Friday.
As the top seed, Mboko will go head-to-head with world No. 39 Emma Navarro from the U.S. in the final on Saturday, serving as an exciting lead-up to the French Open.
This marks Mboko’s third final appearance this year, following her runner-up finishes in both Adelaide and Qatar.
At just 19 years old, Mboko has shown great resilience, winning three matches on the clay courts of Strasbourg after a challenging return from injury and a first-round exit in Madrid.
Last season, in her inaugural full year on tour, Mboko celebrated victories in two tournaments, including the prestigious National Bank Open presented by Rogers in Montreal.
