Historically, Bordeaux has seen success from French players. The last three champions include Mpetshi Perricard (2025), Arthur Fils (2024), and Ugo Humbert (2023). Notably, this will be Valencia’s inaugural Challenger tournament at the 175 level.
Additionally, two other ATP Challenger 175 events will coincide with the second week of the Mutua Madrid Open, taking place in Aix-en-Provence and Cagliari. Notable entrants in Aix-en-Provence include Cameron Norrie, Alex Michelsen, and Joao Fonseca. Meanwhile, local favorites Flavio Cobolli and Luciano Darderi will lead the charge in Cagliari.
