This marks a significant milestone for the 26-year-old champion, as it’s her first time defending a title, having previously won 12 in various tournaments.
Ranked No. 2 in the world, Rybakina successfully converted four out of eight break-point chances, wrapping up the match in just 1 hour and 18 minutes.
Muchova, aiming for her third career title, had reached her second final of the year after clinching a win in Qatar.
