While Rafael Nadal has claimed the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters a staggering 11 times, today’s spotlight isn’t solely on tennis. The Spanish legend is living the dream at golf’s prestigious The Masters at Augusta National.

“The atmosphere is unparalleled. It’s truly hard to compare to anything else,” Nadal mentioned in an interview with ESPN from Georgia. “The no cell phone rule is brilliant; it keeps everyone focused on the magic unfolding before them. This place is simply enchanting.”

“As a sports and golf enthusiast, I have followed this tournament since my childhood. The emotional and dramatic moments are etched in my memory, and having the chance to experience it live is a dream come true.”

Many in the tennis world attest to Nadal’s golfing prowess, despite his humorous admission of having “a terrible swing.”

“Please, let’s not capture those moments,” Nadal chuckled. “But despite the swing, the ball generally goes straight. I’m competitive and love the sport. Golf was my go-to escape when I wasn’t on the tennis court. I’ve loved it since I was a kid.”

Golfing legend Andy North analyzed Nadal’s swing in a recent segment, prompting the tennis star to reflect on his self-taught journey into golf.

“I’ve never taken lessons. My swing resembles a backhand in tennis,” Nadal revealed. “There are challenges; I can’t lift my shoulder as I should, and my stance is often open due to foot issues. Nevertheless, I embrace the challenge to improve, no matter how small, because growth is what I strive for in everything I do.”
