As the excitement builds for the prestigious Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters, Jannik Sinner emerges as a key player in the doubles lineup, ready to compete alongside a cadre of tennis stars.

This year, the 24-year-old Italian joins forces with Belgian talent Zizou Bergs, kicking off their campaign against Tomas Machac and Casper Ruud in what promises to be an entertaining match at this iconic clay-court tournament. This will mark Sinner’s second doubles appearance of the season after a challenging outing with Reilly Opelka at Indian Wells.

Reigning champion Alexander Zverev, who claimed the Acapulco title with Marcelo Melo in March, will pair up with Melo once again in Monte-Carlo. They begin their quest against Luke Johnson and Jan Zielinski, with the victors poised to face the top-seeded duo of Marcel Granollers and Horacio Zeballos in the next round. Meanwhile, Alex de Minaur and Cameron Norrie will challenge Italian wild cards Matteo Berrettini and Andrea Vavassori, with the third-seeded team of Harri Heliovaara and Henry Patten waiting for them in the subsequent round.

In another intriguing matchup, Czechs Jiri Lehecka and Jakub Mensik will take on singles stars Andrey Rublev and Karen Khachanov, the latter boasting a title win together in Madrid in 2023. Lehecka enters the tournament with renewed confidence after reaching the Miami singles final.

Seeded second, Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool are set to clash with either Sadio Doumbia and Fabien Reboul or Alexander Erler and Lucas Miedler in their first match. Hopefuls from Monaco, Valentin Vacherot and his cousin Arthur Rinderknech, who recently reached the finals in Indian Wells, will take on the fifth seeds Marcelo Arevalo and Mate Pavic in what promises to be a thrilling opener.
