Novak Djokovic: A 101-Time Tour-Level Champion
By ATP Staff

In a recent announcement via Instagram Stories, Novak Djokovic has officially withdrawn from the 2026 Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters.

The two-time Monte-Carlo champion and former world No. 1 had previously withdrawn from the Miami Open presented by Itau earlier this month due to a right shoulder injury. Djokovic’s next anticipated appearance will be at the Mutua Madrid Open, another clay ATP Masters 1000 event, scheduled to take place from April 22 to May 3.

As of now, Djokovic boasts a 7-2 record for the season, as noted by the Infosys ATP Win/Loss Index. He started the year with a remarkable appearance in his record-extending 11th Australian Open final, where he faced off against rival Carlos Alcaraz.

With Djokovic stepping back, the spotlight shifts to World No. 1 Alcaraz, Jannik Sinner, and Alexander Zverev, who will headline the competition at this year’s Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters. The main-draw events will unfold at the stunning Monte-Carlo Country Club between April 5 and April 12, with Alcaraz returning as the defending champion.
