INDIAN WELLS, Calif. — Aryna Sabalenka, a two-time finalist at Indian Wells, seized another opportunity to claim the title after defeating Linda Noskova 6-3, 6-4 in the semifinals held on Friday.

The world’s top-ranked player, Sabalenka, dominated Noskova in just 1 hour and 28 minutes on Stadium Court 1 during the BNP Paribas Open.

Sabalenka delivered an impressive performance, hitting 38 of 58 first serves and registering 11 aces to advance to the finals for the third time in four years. She is set to face either Elena Rybakina or Elina Svitolina in the championship match on Sunday.

Previously, Sabalenka faced Rybakina in the Australian Open final, marking her only defeat in 2026. Following Friday’s triumph, Sabalenka boasts a stellar 12-1 record as she heads into the final after reaching the semifinals in six consecutive WTA Tour events. Her last loss prior to this run was against Rybakina in the Cincinnati quarterfinals last August.

Despite the defeat, Noskova made a valiant effort, saving 7 of 10 break points during her service games. This matchup left the Czech at 0-2 against Sabalenka in their encounters.
