Date: November 20, 2025
Today marks the exciting announcement of this year’s nominees for the player categories and Coach of the Year as part of the prestigious 2025 ATP Awards.
Returning to the spotlight are the last three winners of the Stefan Edberg Sportsmanship Award: Grigor Dimitrov (2024), Carlos Alcaraz (2023), and Casper Ruud (2022). They are joined by the talented Felix Auger-Aliassime in this year’s lineup. Additionally, the new Breakthrough of the Year award will see a showdown between Jack Draper, Joao Fonseca, Jakub Mensik, and Valentin Vacherot.
The nominees for Coach of the Year include distinguished figures: Benjamin Balleret (for Valentin Vacherot), Darren Cahill & Simone Vagnozzi (for Jannik Sinner), Juan Carlos Ferrero & Samuel Lopez (for Carlos Alcaraz), Frederic Fontang (for Felix Auger-Aliassime), and Bryan Shelton (for Ben Shelton).
Nominees for both the Breakthrough of the Year and Stefan Edberg Sportsmanship Award are chosen through a vote by the International Tennis Writers’ Association (ITWA), while Coach of the Year nominees are determined through initial voting by ATP coach members.
In an exciting twist, the winners of Breakthrough of the Year and the Stefan Edberg Sportsmanship Award will be decided by members of the exclusive ATP No. 1 Club—comprising 29 current and former players who have held the World No. 1 title. The Coach of the Year will be selected by ATP coaches themselves.
The highly anticipated ATP Awards winners, along with the Fans’ Favourite, will be revealed during Awards Week kicking off on December 8. Fans can cast their votes for their favorite singles player and doubles team until Friday, November 21.
