In a remarkable comeback, Lleyton Hewitt joined forces with his 16-year-old son Cruz in doubles at the NSW Open in Sydney. The duo made a dazzling entrance, securing a dominant 6-1, 6-0 win against Aussie rising stars Hayden Jones and Pavle Marinkov.
Now advancing to the quarter-finals in this exciting ATP Challenger Tour event, they will face the Australian pair of Calum Puttergill and Dane Sweeny. This match coincides with the 24th anniversary of Lleyton’s ascent to the No. 1 spot in the PIF ATP Rankings (November 19, 2001).

They received a wild card entry into the Sydney Challenger, where Cruz also showcased his talent in the singles event, achieving his second career win at this competitive level.
