Roger Federer Inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame
Swiss icon leads the prestigious Class of 2026

Roger Federer has clinched 103 titles in his remarkable career.

Legendary Swiss tennis star, Roger Federer, renowned for spending 310 weeks at the pinnacle of the PIF ATP Rankings, has been honored with induction into the International Tennis Hall of Fame, forming part of the illustrious Class of 2026.
With a total of 103 tour-level titles to his name, Federer ranks just behind Jimmy Connors (109). The icon boasts an impressive collection of 20 Grand Slam titles and 28 ATP Masters 1000 championships.
“Being inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame is an extraordinary privilege,” Federer shared. “I’ve always cherished tennis’ heritage and the legends who paved the way before me. Receiving this news at Swiss Tennis, amongst budding talents—where my journey started—was particularly meaningful.”
“To be acknowledged in this fashion by the sport and my fellow athletes is profoundly gratifying. I’m eager to join the tennis community in Newport next August for this remarkable celebration.”
Federer received the news of his election through a phone call with fellow Hall of Fame members, including tennis greats Stefan Edberg and Boris Becker, who significantly influenced his career.
The record-holder for the most consecutive weeks at World No. 1 (237 weeks from February 2004 to August 2008), Federer has claimed the ATP Year-End No. 1 title five times, received the Stefan Edberg Sportsmanship Award 13 times, and was voted ATP Fans’ Favourite for an unparalleled 19 consecutive years from 2003 to 2021.
The Class of 2026, which also features esteemed sportscaster and journalist Mary Carillo (Contributor Category), will officially be inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame during the Induction Celebration in Newport, Rhode Island, from August 27 to 29, 2026.
