Joe Salisbury and Neal Skupski showcased their formidable skills once again, reaffirming their status as the team to beat at the 2025 Nitto ATP Finals on Friday night in Turin.

With a solid 7-5, 6-3 win over the outclassed American pair of Christian Harrison and Evan King, the fifth seeds completed a remarkable undefeated run in the John McEnroe Group. This marks their debut at this elite season finale, and they remain the sole unbeaten team as they advance to semi-final Saturday.

This 72-minute match further extended Salisbury’s winning streak at the Nitto ATP Finals to 13 matches, having already claimed back-to-back titles alongside Rajeev Ram in 2022-23. The Britons now share a 2-2 record against Harrison and King in their Lexus ATP Head2Head encounters.

“Joe seems to have a knack for winning in group stages,” Salisbury said with a grin. “We’re thrilled to come away with three victories. Despite the challenges we faced this week, we’ve pushed through.”

Though they haven’t yet captured a trophy this season, Salisbury and Skupski have made it to five finals, including prestigious tournaments such as Roland Garros and the US Open. They head into Saturday’s all-British semi-final against top seeds Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool brimming with confidence, having dropped just one set throughout the group stage.

“We give our all in every match,” Salisbury explained. “We know the competition is fierce with the best teams present, but there’s something special about this venue that makes me feel good when I step onto this court.”

On the other hand, Harrison and King aimed to achieve a milestone as the first all-American team to win in this event since Mike Bryan and Jack Sock in 2018. Unfortunately, they were no match for Salisbury and Skupski, who exhibited impeccable volleys and strong serves, never facing a single break point, according to Infosys ATP Stats.
