Since 1973, only 29 players have claimed the No. 1 spot in the PIF ATP Rankings. On this occasion, at least 12 of these illustrious athletes were present at Arthur Ashe Stadium, including Sinner and Alcaraz, who went head-to-head in a winner-takes-all showdown, with Alcaraz emerging as the new World No. 1.

Safin participated in the coin toss, while Juan Carlos Ferrero, Alcaraz’s coach, proudly cheered from the player’s box.
Commentary duties were handled by legends John McEnroe and Jim Courier, with other notable No. 1s in attendance including Lendl, Connors, Andre Agassi, Mats Wilander, and Patrick Rafter.
