This January, as the greatest athletes in tennis vie for glory on the iconic Rod Laver Arena, the echoes of the past will resonate with every serve and volley.
The 2025 Australian Open is particularly special as it celebrates a double milestone for the legendary Rocket Rod Laver.

Rod Laver remains the only player in history to clinch the calendar Grand Slam as both an amateur and a professional, making his presence during this fortnight a highlight.
This year marks the 25th anniversary of the renaming of the Australian Open’s center court to Rod Laver Arena, alongside the 65th anniversary of Laver’s first Grand Slam victory at the 1960 Australian Open.
Having witnessed Jannik Sinner‘s breakthrough victory last year in Melbourne, Laver, a holder of 11 Grand Slam titles, will again grace the courts filled with rich tennis history.
Rolex, an official timekeeper since 2008, honored Laver with a stunning collection of images.

After capturing the ATP Finals title and leading his team to consecutive Davis Cup victories, Sinner expressed his excitement to return to the Australian shores.
