The quarterfinals for this year’s ASB Classic are a dazzling display of American talent, with a remarkable 75% of the remaining players waving the stars and stripes after an impressive showing in Auckland last night.

The stage is set for an electrifying Friday with not one, but two all-American matchups! First up, Bernarda Pera takes on Robin Montgomery, and Alycia Parks is set to clash with Katie Volynets. Meanwhile, top-seeded Madison Keys faces off against Denmark’s Clara Tauson, while local favorite Haily Baptiste goes head-to-head with seventh-seeded Naomi Osaka.

The 23-year-old Baptiste overcame a match point to triumph over Great Britain’s Jodie Burrage with a score of 5-7, 7-5, 7-6(6), marking her first entry into a WTA quarterfinal. Montgomery, just 20 years old, dominated Nao Hibino with a swift 6-2, 6-2 victory. Parks secured her spot in the quarterfinals with a solid 7-5, 6-3 win against Greet Minnen, while Keys showcased her prowess, breezing through Romania’s Jaqueline Cristian 6-1, 6-2 in only 46 minutes.

All four thrilling quarterfinal matches are slated for Friday night in Auckland (that’s Thursday night in the US). Don’t miss out!
