The lineup for the Spanish Davis Cup team is out, and surprisingly, Carlos Alcaraz is not included.

The RFET has chosen an exciting squad comprising Pablo Carreno Busta, Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, Roberto Carballes Baena, and Pedro Martinez to take on the hosts, Switzerland, in the upcoming Davis Cup Qualifier set for February 1-2 in Biel.

Alcaraz, the reigning champion of Roland Garros and Wimbledon, previously represented Spain in the Davis Cup Final 8 and the Olympics, is prioritizing a deep run at the Australian Open, which concludes on January 26th.

Remarkably, Spain has not faced defeat against Switzerland in the Davis Cup since 1946.

The victor of the Spain vs. Switzerland qualifier will advance to face either Serbia or Denmark.
