Tickets

You can conveniently secure tickets for the 2025 French Open either by purchasing from the official Roland Garros website or through one of the authorized French Open agencies.

1. Official Roland Garros Website

The most straightforward and economical way to buy your tickets for the 2025 tournament is directly from the official Roland Garros website.

Tickets typically go live for public purchase about two months prior to the tournament.

To ensure a seamless transaction, having an account set up on the website beforehand is highly recommended.

When you’re ready to buy, you’ll have the choice of securing tickets for one of the main showcourts (Philippe Chatrier, Suzanne Lenglen, and Simonne-Mathieu) or a ground pass that grants you access to all outer courts.

The ground pass is generally the more affordable option, although it may limit your opportunity to catch some of the prominent tennis stars on the outer courts. Nonetheless, you might strike gold if a featured match gets postponed and ends up on one of the outer courts the following day.

This happened to me during my visit to the French Open in 2019 when a match between Dimitrov and Wawrinka was moved to one of the outer courts, allowing me to witness a set between two of the sport’s elite.

2. Approved French Open Agencies

If your budget allows, you can opt for a variety of hospitality packages offered by approved French Open Agencies.

Details about these hospitality packages are usually made available on the official Roland Garros website approximately three months before the tournament commences.

Where to Stay?

Getting to Roland Garros (commonly referred to as “RG”) is a breeze thanks to Paris’s excellent local transport. The nearest Métro stations are Porte d’Auteuil (north of RG) and Michel-Ange–Molitor (southeast of RG).

If you prefer to stay close to the tournament venue, here are some hotel recommendations.

Molitor Paris – This luxurious 5-star hotel is conveniently situated just a minute’s walk from RG.

Hotel Poussin – For budget-conscious travelers, Hotel Poussin offers an excellent nearby accommodation option.

Tips for First-Time Visitors to Roland Garros

Don’t stress about staying close to Roland Garros – Unlike Wimbledon, there’s no need to queue for tickets, making it reasonable to stay further away. Paris has excellent transport links, allowing you to reach a metro station within a 10-minute walk to the Roland Garros complex.

Food and Drink – During my visit to the French Open in 2019, I was taken aback by the high prices for food and drinks inside the venue compared to local establishments. I suggest having a hearty breakfast before heading in to reduce on-site spending.

Attending Early Championships – If you plan to buy a ground pass, aim for the first week of the tournament when you have a better chance of catching top players on outer courts. If you bring a ground pass during the second week, the smaller courts see less action, focusing mostly on doubles matches while singles play remains on Philippe Chatrier, Suzanne Lenglen, and Simonne-Mathieu showcourts.
