USTA-Nevada and the Marty Hennessy Junior Foundation brought seven of their top juniors to Sun City McDonald Ranch Saturday, April 4, for a great morning of tennis action. The youngsters, who all hold national rankings in their respective age brackets, as well as above average academic standing, played three exhibition matches that really demonstrated their outstanding tennis skills and athleticism. Later the SCMR members joined the juniors in some doubles drills conducted by Ryan Wolfington, Executive Director of USTA-NV. |
"We all expected these youngsters to play tennis well, but were really impressed with their politeness and ability to communicate so skillfully with us seniors and their willingness to help us with our game," explained tennis club President Larry Loman. "All of us agree that we should do this again soon." |
