"The leadership breakfast was created to bring in successful, happy and well rounded leaders to talk about Life, happiness and success. This talk is set in the intimate setting of breakfast and meant to inspire the children to gain insight from those who have succeeded before them," explained USTA-Nevada Executive Director, Ryan Wolfington. "I have found that success in life always follows the same principles no matter what field or discipline. The secrets to being among the best in theatre will also apply to tennis, academics, and other areas of life. What is great about having Kristen Hertzenberg is she is not only an example of excellence in her given field, but also she has demonstrated the qualities of a good, kind person in her personal and professional life, which is the kind of role model we want for these children."
During the 1 hour breakfast Kristen inspired the children to, "Be Nice, treat people with kindness", "Go the extra mile in everything you do", "Surround your self with great friends and influences and have the strength to say goodbye to bad ones," "See that today's losses are the stepping stones to future success," "Be honest with yourself when you lose because you did not prepare fully," "Don't listen to lazy or negative doubt in your mind," "Reach outside your comfort zone," and "Seek opportunities to see the adversity in others' lives so you can better appreciate your own."
One child after the breakfast expressed a commitment to stop hanging around some negative friends he had made in school who were influencing him in a bad direction. Others were inspired by her story to do better in their own lives.

The Leadership breakfast started as part of the "Wolfington Family East Coast Leadership Tour" in the summer of 2006 and 2007, and due to its success will continue year round in Las Vegas to further the positive impact it has had on children.
The forum allows high school children, who in just a couple years will be off to college, to start thinking about the bigger picture of what it takes to be happy, successful and the best you can be. The breakfast is in a relaxed setting where children can learn from some of the greatest minds in sports, business, politics, education, and the non-profit world.
Guest speakers in the past have included Film Producers, Senators, CEO's and a former President. A few of the distinguished guests have included: Senator John Ensign, President Bush Sr', Senator Ted Kennedy, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, Senator Rick Santorum, CEO Matt Gillin (Ecount.com), Hall of Famer Billy Cunningham, Founder of Ronald McDonald Houses Jim Murray, Film Producer Sean Wolfington, Actor Eduardo Verastegui, Tennis Legend Billy Jean King, Todd Martin and many others.
Future "Leadership Breakfast" attendees are chosen among those who express interest via email, with priority going to children who are USTA members (or one of their community partners), and are presently in high school.
